Light Reading

+ - Colour is an 86 page experimental book created by Swedish designers Axel von Friesen and Petter Tornqvist of 1:2:3. This one-of-a-kind book consists of different colored sheets of paper which have been bleached by various light sources and time schedules. Some of the pages were bleached by the sun as a direct lightsource, some with uv-lighting and others by regular light bulbs. Any area of the sheet directly exposed to a light source will fade with time, leaving an imprint wherever the light was blocked. According to their empirical study, each of the three kinds of light faded differently, making for a beautiful experiment compiled into a book.
