Alphabet City

I have been wanting to publish this post for some time now and can wait no longer to show some wonderful city alphabets illustrated by my very talented friend, Anita Lehmann. Currently, Anita has published 3 posters featuring an entire alphabet of architectural icons, wonders and places for Seattle, Portland (OR) and Santa Fe, respectively. I seldom see Anita without a drawing pencil in her hand. She loves the line—which probably stems from her training as an architect. She also performs well with the brush and teaches drawing and watercolor painting on a regular basis from her home studio in Seattle. Take a look at some of her lovely illustration and watercolor work here. To purchase any of her 24 x 28" posters and postcards of the city alphabet series, in addition to some of her other artwork, visit her Etsy shop. Anita is currently working on several new alphabets for San Francisco, Washington DC and Chicago, so stay tuned for these. For that special event or someone, she even excepts commissions for custom alphabets. This girl can really draw! Click on images for enlargements.
